I think there is something really exciting about receiving things in the post, and when you're a child, that feeling is something else entirely. Stamped Stories are addressed directly to the little one, because that moment of it being theirs, really theirs, is where the magic starts.

I have always loved storytelling. As a kid I spent hours making my own little booklets and illustrating my own stories. But reading never came easily to me. I'm dyslexic, and big books felt daunting before I'd even started. So when I sat down to design Stamped Stories, I wanted it to feel approachable and fun, a way into reading that didn't feel like a task. Something joyful and inclusive, something that didn't take itself too seriously.

The idea came from time spent with my nieces. Quiet moments together, away from the busy world and all its noise, reading books and chatting, drawing pictures. Special, connected and unhurried moments. When I'm not there in person, I wanted something to bridge that gap. So I started sending them my stories, just for them. And that was that.

With all the screens around us, I think there's something really valuable about making something with your hands and seeing something genuinely handmade. Every activity sheet is built around that idea, craft, creativity, making something real.

Stamped Stories is first and foremost meant to be fun, but I do hope it quietly encourages a love of reading along the way. Stories that arrive in the post just for you, and feel different to a book on a shelf.
